As far as content and quality of vehicles go, State Auctions pairs up with Cheap Car Search. However, their interface and usability we found to be left slightly wanting.

Now, this isn't to say they aren't a great site, because they have definitely got their act together, all it means is that they are not as 'pretty' as Cheap Car Search, and for us, when we are looking for a nice new car, we would prefer to be looking at a professional looking site, that is well designed.

It's kind of like heading to the Bronx to pick up a Bentley, if you got it cheap, you'd still go, but you'd be a little worried about whether the dealer was legit.

While State Auctions is a reliable and trustworthy site, it's image didn't convey a great deal of confidence to us!

But, like we said, don't let that deter you, they still have great cars at great prices and you'll want to at least check them out.

Ok, one look at this site and you'll see why it scored the lowest out of the lot. The site design is left very wanting, the interface is not very enjoyable, and the overall feel of the site screams unprofessional.

Now, that is just our opinion! But with this kind of site, design is important, because it shows professionalism.

On with the good points. Marshal Auctions DOES have quite a good reputation, it is probably one of, if not the largest car auctions site available online, with one of the highest number of members having access to it's site.

One of the good (and probably bad) things about the site, is that they have a 16 minute or so window where you can sign up and get the membership at half price. Now, this is great if you're a quick decision maker, but not if you like to think things through.

What we'd recommend is that you check out the others first, and then Marshals' so that you can make an informed decision, but the half price discount is a nice bonus if your quick!
